My name is Jada Wright, and when I was eleven—right in the middle of the COVID lockdown—I discovered something that changed me: the freedom of online learning. Suddenly, I could chase a new idea at two in the afternoon, spend extra time on a coding problem that fascinated me, or dive into creative writing without worrying about rushing to the next class. But when I returned to physical high school at twelve, I felt boxed in again—stuck in crowded rooms, missing that spark of possibility I’d tasted online. That experience stuck with me: I knew there were so many young people—gifted learners, those with special needs, or anyone who simply flourishes outside a traditional classroom—who deserved that same freedom and encouragement. So, with my mother, Judian Wright, who has dedicated her life to education and even earned the Prime Minister’s Medal for her work, I co-founded COA Homeschool Academy.

 

Our vision is simple but heartfelt: to give every Caribbean family an online space where children feel seen, supported, and free to discover their true potential. Because when a student finds their confidence—and parents become genuine partners in that journey—it doesn’t just transform one life. It lifts entire families, sparks dreams in younger siblings, and plants seeds of possibility across communities that might never have thought such an education was within reach.
